How to fix a Legacy Audio Driver problem? I cannot get any sound from my computer. HELP!?
Q. Hi All, I really need some help. I have a problem with my audio driver. I have no sound at all coming from my computer and I think I have found the problem but I have no idea how to fix it. I am a complete computer novice so step by step instructions would be really helpful! I have gone right through the Help & Support Centre and trouble shooting but with no luck. Basically the driver isn't working. I have gone into Device Manager, Sound, Video etc, then on Legacy Audio Driver, properties. When I then click on Properties tab, in the listing for Audio Devices it states Audio for 3cf4a0181.dll. When I try to click on properties for this I am reciving the message 'Cannot load the 3cf4a0181.dll driver. The driver file may be missing. Try… [cont.]

i want to convert audio files in the extention ( avi ) in to normal audio format like ( mp3 or wav )?
Q. these files can onley be played after installing the driver for sound blaster 64 ( though now i`m not uesing this card ) but if i don`t use this driver the files don`t work .ps : the driver is for win 9x . no version for xp . so i can`t use the files on xp ( if any one have an xp version that will be great )

A. There are 2 ways. You can search the internet for a free audio conversion program. You can burn the files to a music cd and then rip them back as mp3 files.
